Welcome to the RTC RIDESHARE program, a free, web-based service that uses advanced technology to make carpool/bike buddy matching easy, fast, convenient, and accurate. Enter your traveling preferences and receive the best potential carpool matches back in a matter of seconds.
You control the personal information that is shown to other travelers, so you know your information is secure. With a click of your mouse you can contact your preferred matches instantly via email to discuss your needs and expectations. You don't have to carpool every day to make an important difference. Start out trying it one or to two days a week and go from there. Every shared trip benefits both you and our community. For example:

Fear being stranded without your car? It's great to carpool or vanpool to work, but what if something unexpected comes up and you need to leave before or after your regular departure time? After registering for the RTC RIDESHARE program, sign up for our Guaranteed Ride Home program and we'll cover the cost of your taxi ride home.
Create an RTC RIDESHARE account before August 1, 2008, and you'll be entered into a prize drawing for an iPod Nano. (You must be willing to carpool at least one day a week. See the Prize Rules in the Downloads section of this page for more information.)

Bike Buddy Details: Whether you want to start bicycling to work and don't want to ride alone or would like to have company on your weekend rides, the Bike Buddy ridematch service will help you find other cyclists who live and work near you. New bikers can connect with experienced cyclists to gather tips, route information, and moral support, while experienced bicyclists can find new friends to ride with or novice bicyclists to assist.
The new service is made possible through a grant from the Nevada Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety (OTS).
Everyone who indicates an interest in cycling during registration will be sent a bicycle map and safety information from the Department of Traffic Safety Office of Traffic Safety and the RTC.
Wanted -- Bicycle Data: Help us gather information that can be used to establish a need for new and improved bicycle facilities. All alternate modes of travel to work can be logged on the Commute Tracker Calendar (Click on the Commute Tracker Button on "My Page.") The calendar is a great way to check out your carbon footprint reduction. See a running total of the money you're saving and the pollutants you're reducing by leaving the car at home.
